The Round House in Wilton, Connecticut was designed by the well-known architect Richard T. Foster, assisted by Philip Johnson in 1967 and became his own house.
Floating 12 feet off the ground and 72 feet in diameter, the Round House is walled in glass, covered over and under with cedar shingles, and set on a cylindrical base retained by walls of stone. It features a security system, hardwood flooring, a separate guesthouse and an in-ground pool.
The house was fully renovated in 2005.
